I've given enough talks to know: listening changes nothing.
Who's behind Copilot Coaching, how I use Copilot in my own work, and why every session with me ends with something you take with you — plus an example from a real coaching engagement.
The person
Daniel Rohregger, Microsoft MVP for Copilot
Microsoft MVP, International Keynote Speaker, Copilot Coach & Speaker
I'm Daniel Rohregger, a Microsoft MVP who has worked full-time with Microsoft 365 Copilot since 2022 — as a coach, a speaker, and host of the "365 Checkpoint" podcast. What drives me: in most companies, Copilot isn't under-explained, it's under-used. So instead of sitting down with you in front of a slide deck, I sit down with you in front of your real task — a prompt, an agent, or an automation that's up and running the next day.
Since 2022, I've worked with more than 20 clients — from 1:1 coaching with project managers and executives to training for entire IT departments. On LinkedIn, TikTok (@copilot.coach), and YouTube, I share what I learn from these sessions and from my own work with Copilot. The "365 Checkpoint" podcast is the monthly check-in on all of it.
On this website, "we" currently means me. For now, I run every coaching session myself, but I'm deliberately planning for the team to grow — and the setup behind it is already built for that.
My business used to be called Rohregger IT: same person, new name. What changed and what didn't is explained on Aus Rohregger IT wird Copilot Coaching (in German).

My approach
How I use Copilot myself
I give talks, I record a podcast (in German), I write on LinkedIn — and every time I see the same thing: people walk out interested, and the next day they go right back to working the way they always have. Explaining isn't enough. That's why every session with me is built so that you leave with an artifact, not just an insight — a prompt, an agent, an automation that lives in your tenant, not in my notes.
I work this way myself. Every request that comes in runs through an agent of my own. So what I show you in a session isn't something I once read about — it's something I used that same day.
This isn't me taking a position against other coaches or consultants — it's me siding with the people who want to get hands-on. No concept papers, no comparisons with anyone, no artificial scarcity. Copilot is complex enough that questions come up during implementation anyway. A complete answer doesn't cost me business — it creates it.
An example
From 100 unread emails to an inbox that works
I had over 100 unread emails every day. With Copilot and the agent, I'm down to zero. After the first session, I already had a result I could use right away.
100
unread messages, spread across three channels and sorted by hand.
1
briefing the agent drops into the inbox once a day.
From a 1:1 coaching engagement. The 100 unread messages are his own figure; the daily briefing is the agent we built in that first session.
His messages were scattered across his inbox, Teams, and a ticketing system. In that first session, we built an agent together that takes care of three steps:
- Collect
- Once a day, reads every incoming message from email, Teams, and the ticketing system.
- Sort
- Sorts by urgency and category — what needs a reply today and what can wait until the end of the week.
- Deliver
- Turns it all into a structured daily briefing, sent straight to Oliver's inbox.
The prototype was running after that one hour and went live a week later. Oliver's inbox hasn't piled up since — the time he used to spend sorting now goes into real work.
